After a 16-year wait, Quebec bums can finally get their ears on a new album from Mononc'Serge and Anonymus: Métal canadien-français. On December 27, these new songs, as well as their old hits, will resonate within the walls of the Cabaret de l'Amphithéâtre Cogeco.
Mononc'Serge, known for his irreverent approach and corrosive humor, has built his bad reputation on his incisive lyrics and dubious wit. Anonymus, on the other hand, is a metal band that has established itself as an essential reference in Quebec. Formed in 1989, the quartet has won over an audience unafraid to have their eardrums blown out by powerful riffs and death-defying screaming.
Mononc'Serge and Anonymus are decadence, laughter and energy, all in French and in defiance of all rectitude. The leaders of France's punk-metal-hardcore movement, Tagada Jones, will open the show with their 27 years of experience.
Tickets will be on sale for $41.75 plus tax this Friday, October 11, 2024, starting at 10 a.m. at amphitheatrecogeco.com and at the Salle J.-Antonio-Thompson box office, 819-380-9797 or 1-866-416-9797, Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
