After a dazzling number presented tonight on La Voix featuring Jennifer-Lee Dupy, Frédérick De Grandpré and the show's dancers, the Corporation des Évènements de Trois-Rivières, in collaboration with Musicor Spectacles and Gestev, is announcing that the musical The Bodyguard, a stage adaptation of the 1992 Hollywood classic, will be presented at the Cogeco Amphitheatre on September 8 and 9.

Directed and adapted by Joël Legendre, Jennifer-Lee Dupy and Frédérick De Grandpré, who play the iconic tandem of superstar Rachel Marron and her bodyguard Frank Farmer, will be surrounded by Sharon James, Maëva Grelet, Widemir Normil, Normand Carrière, Tommy Durand, Matthieu Lévesque and many others. Steve Bolton, choreographer par excellence of musicals in Quebec, will be in charge of the choreography.
With songs such as Queen of the Night, Run to You, I Have Nothing and one of the greatest hits of all time, I Will Always Love You, all originally performed by the legendary Whitney Houston, The Bodyguard tells the story of a former Secret Service agent turned elite bodyguard, Frank Farmer, who is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an anonymous stalker against her will. Everyone thinks he's going to call the shots, until the beautiful woman and her protector are surprised by the birth of a passionate love affair...
