Trois-Rivières, February 20, 2022 - Rock of Ages, a five-time Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical hit in 2009 that has played more than 2,300 times on New York's famous street, is finally being presented in Quebec in an original French version! Presented by Musicor Spectacles and Gestev, this amazing rock and roll romance, set on the Sunset Strip of West Hollywood, will be performed at the Amphitheatre Cogeco in Trois-Rivières on September 9 and 10, 2022.
Joël Legendre has been entrusted with the direction of this large-scale show, which will feature Lunou Zucchini, Jordan Donoghue, Rémi Chassé, Manuel Tadros, Joëlle Lanctôt and Tommy Joubert. Adapted into French by Olivier Berthiaume from the libretto by Chris D'Arienzo, this new large-scale production will also feature numerous dance numbers choreographed by Steve Bolton. The original orchestrations of the songs are by Ethan Opp. In total, Rock of Ages will feature thirteen artists on stage as well as five musicians under the direction of Philippe Turcotte.
About the show
Rock of Ages tells the story of Sherrie (Lunou Zucchini), a young girl from Kansas who comes to Hollywood in hopes of becoming an actress, and Drew (Jordan Donoghue), an aspiring rock star and busboy at the legendary Bourbon Room. When this rockin' bar is about to be demolished, it's up to these kids and their group of friends to save the day and the music! The electric score of Rock of Ages features a collection of rock anthems and power ballads from classic 80's hits such as Don't Stop Believin', We Built This City, The Final Countdown, Wanted Dead or Alive, Here I Go Again, Can't Fight this Feeling and I Want To Know What Love Is.

The Rock of Ages show will be presented on September 9 and 10, 2022 at the Cogeco Amphitheatre in Trois-Rivières. Doors will open at 7:00 pm and the show will start at 8:30 pm.
