PRESS RELEASE May 17, 2017
Québec Artists Meet for 2017 Flood Victims
Trois-Rivières, May 17, 2017 - The team of the Corporation des Évènements de Trois-Rivières joins the artistic director Jean-François Blais and several partners including Cogeco Média to present the benefit show: « Inondés d’amour » for the benefit of the recent flood victims in Quebec through the Canadian Red Cross.
INONDÉS D’AMOUR, it’s the rendezvous of generosity. INONDÉS D’AMOUR is the celebration of solidarity and a great sharing and giving party. A great party where we will sing, laugh and dance ... to remember the water that surprised us, the water that hurt us, the water that brought us together.
Many artists will perform on the stage of the Cogeco Amphitheatre accompanied by the musicians and the team of the program « En direct de l'univers » under the musical direction of Jean-Benoît Lasanté. The direction and artistic direction will be ensured by Jean-François Blais.
"The Cogeco Amphitheatre is a gathering place for the population. Its location where the St. Maurice River and the St. Lawrence River cross made it the perfect site for a benefit show for the 4701 victims of the floods all over Quebec. We are proud to be an active participant in this project to bring people together and to unite for the cause" said Roger Picard, President of the Corporation des Évènements de Trois-Rivières.
We would like to acknowledge the participation of several companies in the region in the realization of this event, including the city of Trois-Rivières and all the Mauricie media, which will promote the event. These partners join the victims with a single idea in mind ... to flood them with love.
