Trois-Rivières, September 10, 2026 – More than 25 years after leaving a lasting mark on Quebec’s cultural landscape, Notre-Dame de Paris returns to the stage of the Amphithéâtre Cogeco in all its orchestral glory. On June 12, 2027, the work by Luc Plamondon and Richard Cocciante will be presented in a symphonic version, performed by the FILMharmonique Orchestra under the direction of Francis Choinière and featuring a cast of seven singers well-known to Quebec audiences.
For this new production, Pierre Lapointe will play Gringoire, Marc Hervieux will lend his voice to Quasimodo, Marie-Ève Janvier will be Esmeralda, and Christian Marc Gendron will portray Frollo. They will be joined by Sam Champagne as Phoebus, Josiane as Fleur-de-Lys, and Gardy Fury as Clopin.
Songs that have become classics—from Belle to Temps des cathédrales, including Vivre and Danse mon Esmeralda—will regain their full orchestral richness thanks to the symphonic adaptation by Simon Leclerc, composer, arranger, and conductor, the same as those from the original concert presented by the Montreal Symphony Orchestra in 2001, revived for this major Quebec tour with the FILMharmonique Orchestra.
The Notre-Dame de Paris Symphonic show is an opportunity to rediscover these familiar melodies in a new light, in a musical experience designed to give the original work a fresh resonance.
The Notre-Dame de Paris Symphonique concert will take place on June 12, 2027, at the Amphithéâtre Cogeco in Trois-Rivières.
