Évangéline | The musical is returning for an additional performance at the Amphithéâtre Cogeco in Trois-Rivières in September 2027!
Building on its success this summer at the Cogeco Amphitheater, Évangéline | The Musical—North America’s greatest love story—returns to the banks of the St. Lawrence River for three additional performances on September 16, 17, and 18, 2027.
With more than 60,000 tickets sold, Évangéline has been a resounding success. Starring Maude Cyr-Deschênes, Olivier Dion, Matthieu Lévesque, Nathalie Simard, Océane Kitura Bohémier-Tootoo, and Laurent Lucas, Évangéline is a historical musical epic imbued with modernism. A cinematic vision of an epic tale rooted in Indigenous lands in Nova Scotia.

A Large-Scale Production
To bring this grand musical epic to life, an impressive team of artists and creators has been working for months to prepare the show. Twenty-two artists take the stage each night, supported by a team of 17 people behind the scenes. Each artist has devoted some 325 hours to rehearsals, while the design of the visual world required, among other things, two months of work to build the sets. In total, 39 costumes help bring this historical epic—with its decidedly contemporary touches—to life.
North America’s Greatest Love Story
A vibrant journey into the heart of our collective memory: 1755, the Acadians are deported… A scar that the passage of time struggles to erase. An epic tale that tells the story of legendary lovers. A love in exile—that of the revolutionaries Évangéline and Gabriel—as the heart of Acadia burns within them. Even today, a troubled memory lingers within us, as we keep in mind the bonds forged between the French people and the Mi’Kmaq Nation. Évangéline and Gabriel will lead us along the paths of a quest marked by hope and healing.
