Having become an institution among metal fanatics, with a sold-out 2023 edition and festival-goers from all over Quebec, North America and Europe, the Trois-Rivières Metalfest will be staging more must-sees on November 22 and 23, 2024 at the Cabaret de l'Amphithéâtre Cogeco.
14 bands will take to the stage at Trois-Rivières Metalfest: Immolation and their old-school New York Death Metal - From Boston, Unearth explore Metalcore - Originally formed as Gorgasm, Bordeaux band Gorod offer Death Metal - With their Juno nomination in 2019 for Best Metal Album, Beyond Creation is a Montreal pride - Montreal's Ghoulunatics is the band playing the most concerts in Quebec and Ontario - Reanimator are creating a new wave of Trash Metal in the Montreal landscape - Strigampire was among the five finalists at the 2017 Omnium du Rock in Quebec out of a total of 125 bands - From Rouyn-Noranda, Backstabber performs Death-Trash Metal, Montreal's Uriel does Melodic Metal with symphonic influences - Rimouskois Necrotic Mutation offer Industrial Death Metal - Montreal-born Augury specialize in Progressive Death Metal - Fracturus offer Death Metal from Montreal - Trifluvian band Apocalyptic Fear are among the 10 Metal bands to listen to in Mauricie - Hailing from Blainville, Zero State bring out the brutality of humanity in their Death Metal style.
The 2024 line-up puts a special spotlight on the diversity of local Metal, with 79% of its programming 100% Quebec-based.
Tickets for the Trois-Rivières Metalfest go on sale this Friday, August 23, 2024 at amphitheatrecogeco.com. They will also be available from the Salle J.-Antonio-Thompson box office at 819-380-9797 or 1 866 416-9797, Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
