TikTok adores them, Instagram follows their every move, and streaming platforms are on fire: 2 million clicks in just a few months. The collective Classe Moyenne is the sensation of the moment, a rare phenomenon.
It all started in a basement near La Prairie, where five friends drew from their everyday lives to write songs that reflect the reality of thirty-somethings, yet resonate with everyone.
“We call ourselves Classe Moyenne, because Les Colocs was already taken,” they write—and the charm works instantly. Add to that lyrics like We wanted to go to university, but we all ended up at Benji’s—talk about a school of life! and you’re hooked.
Their real names? Benjamin Nadeau (producer and director known for working with Marc Dupré, William Cloutier, Ludovick Bourgeois, Dee Holt, Mc12), Gabriel Fredette, Justin Roy, Phil Rxcket and Zach Chico. Friends who came together in Benjamin’s basement, wrote one song that quickly went viral, then thirteen more since—and they won’t stop, because they’re having fun. And people love it. A lot.
Don’t look for rules or formulas with Classe Moyenne—there are none. What you’ll find is freedom, joy, positivity, one big party… and for you, a boat you won’t want to miss, because it doesn’t come by often!
