Trois-Rivières, January 30, 2020 - The Corporation des Évènements de Trois-Rivières is pleased to announce that a very special tasting evening will take place at the Cogeco Amphitheatre Cabaret on March 14, 2020, with the theme Les gins Québécois – Une dégustation festive des meilleurs produits d’ici.
This new event, presented by the Délices d'automne and the Soirée du Goûteur, promises to be both delicious and informative, while five succulent gins from Quebec distilleries are offered paired with delicious bites. Everything will be led by Marc André Hould, known as Le Goûteur, who will address several interesting topics related to gin. Participants will also have the chance to hear and meet the distillers to learn more about the world of this spirit. The band Jimmy and the Cadillac, as well as the duo Toi, Moi et la Guit will provide musical entertainment during this tasty evening.

About Marc André Hould – Le Goûteur
As far back as he can remember, the pleasures of the table have always been part of Marc André's life. Taste, savour, these are verbs that he has always conjugated since his childhood, where he "was brought up in a kitchen after being bitten by a gramophone needle". Trained in pastry, he put his talents as communicators to good use by launching in 2014 a first cookbook: Olive & Balsamique. The success of the 115 recipes offered is such that it recurred in 2015 with the success "Tout simplement bon" prefaced by the famous chef Caroline McCann.
In 2017, he officially became a gourmet columnist for the Journal de Québec, while publishing weekly articles highlighting his gourmet favourites. The nickname of the "Taster" is officially granted to him, which clearly reflects his love of raw Quebec terroir products.
From 2018, the “Soirées du goûteur” are emerging, which allow him to showcase Quebec products in events where they invite epicureans to make gourmet discoveries. The success of these convivial events leads our taster to extend these evenings to major events, as was the case in the fall of 2019 at the POP Museum of Trois-Rivières, where more than a hundred lovers of taste pleasures were able to meet local artisans from Quebec.
