The legendary boîte à chansons Le 2 Pierrots will be reborn on December 19, 2024 at the Cabaret de l'Amphithéâtre Cogeco with the show concept On ferme la shop. To close the year, seven musicians will set the stage ablaze with Quebec classics from Paul Piché to Les Colocs to the Cowboys Fringants.
After the success of On ferme la shop in 2023, the traditional music show has now become a year-end staple in Trois-Rivières. Nostalgic for 2 Pierrots? This is a unique opportunity to step back into the mythical atmosphere of the Old Montreal establishment, where evenings were authentic, vibrant and over-the-top.
Founded in 1974, the club was named after a Latuquois composer and son of a trumpeter, Pierre Rochette, aka Pierrot. One of his many compositions, La chanson du camionneur, was performed by the popular Fred Pellerin.
After 46 years of existence, Le 2 Pierrots will come back to life at the Cabaret de l'Amphithéâtre Cogeco on December 19, 2024, for a single evening, just over 4 years after its closure on December 12, 2020. It's a unique opportunity to discover or recall the festive, family-friendly atmosphere of the legendary boîte à chanson. On ferme la shop promises music that's sure to get the feet tapping and the party going.
