Montréal, June 3, 2015 - This afternoon, the Corporation des Évènements de Trois-Rivières will present its first show LE MONDE EST FOU, together with the creative team of Évènements 45 DEGREES of the Cirque du Soleil Group. They presented an overview of the artistic and musical concept accompanied by the members of Beau Dommage. Created exclusively for the Amphithéâtre Cogeco in Trois-Rivières and inspired by the musical and artistic work of iconic Québec group Beau Dommage, the show will be launched on July 15. This is the first of 3 upcoming shows of the Tribute Series created by Cirque du Soleil for the Amphithéâtre Cogeco.
The first show in the series will be presented for 20 performances before an audience of 3,500 people each night. The 75-minute show brings together 25 artists, and is led by Artistic Director Daniel Fortin, Director Jean-Guy Legault, Musical Director Jean-Phi Gonçalves, Set Designer Geneviève Lizotte, Costume Designer Marilène Bastien and Makeup Artists Florence Cornet, with video design by Stéfano Gemm, Creative Director at Mikros Image.
The title LE MONDE EST FOU is from the song “Le géant Beaupré” and was created to delight both lovers of Cirque du Soleil and fans of Beau Dommage’s music. “It is an honour for us to be able to revisit outstanding works of Québec culture and to collaborate with such an iconic band like Beau Dommage,” noted Daniel Fortin.
